Designing for the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco was a highlight for me.
Most people don’t know this, but the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco has one of the largest collections of Asian art in the world. They only show about 7-10% of the entire collection though. That’s primarily due to limited gallery space. The rest of the collection is either in storage or on loan to other museums.
The Asian Art Museum was my client for five years when they were still out in Golden Gate Park, right before their move to Civic Center. I’ve always been very proud of the membership publications and fund raising event invitations I designed for them. I still show those projects in my portfolio today. I especially loved designing the invitation package for the Odyssey to the Orient gala event, where I also created the illustration.
