Any client who’s open to having fun with their own logo is a graphic designer’s dream!

Nancy Van Natta + Associates wanted to create a greeting card to send out to clients. Nancy also wanted use the company logo as the main image but do something fun with it.

I suggested that we cut the company logo out of a sheet of foam core. And then insert different things into the cut out shape and photograph the final result. What ends up happening is that the logo looks like it was made of those things. While it’s definitely easier to take the logo into Illustrator, the realism of photographing actual object inside the cutout logo is more compelling. The end result is definitely a fun, unique and memorable solution.

The first card uses roses and was sent in the springtime. It went over really well with Nancy and her clients. The second card uses Christmas lights and was sent out just before the holidays.
