Helping families who have children going through chemotherapy

Koret Family House provides temporary housing to families who have children going through chemotherapy at UCSF. Since they’re right next door to UCSF, the families stay at Family House for as long as the treatments last. This takes away the stress of having to travel to and from the hospital, and let’s families remain together while going through a difficult time.

Supporting Family House’s fund raising efforts is very rewarding. The holiday cards and event invitations I designed were always fun and whimsical. In addition to their regular fund raisers, they had a special event every year where they auctioned off rare Cabernets. In fact, one year, they insisted on holding it even after a devastating fire destroyed a sponsor’s restaurant.
